Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated projects to ensure the customer's satisfaction.
Skills/
Qualifications:
Five (5) Years' Experience.
Structural Steel background as it applies to industrial, commercial construction.
Strong understanding of all structural steel and miscellaneous metals components as it applies to shop fabrication & site erection.
Excel, Word and Bluebeam experience.
AutoCAD and/or Tekla experience.
Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings for the purpose of estimating, pricing and submitting pricing to general contractors.
Good understanding of structural steel design and miscellaneous metals fabrication.
A general understanding of the AWS D1.
1 welding code and AISC Standards.
Ability to work independently while being precise, accurate, and detail oriented.
Recognize and deal with priorities.
Excellent organizational skills.
Maintains cooperative working relationship with team members.
Good communication skills.
Ability to perform all duties in an independent manner with little or no supervision.
Assertive mannerisms and good negotiating skills.
Essential Duties/
Responsibilities:
Prepare bid packages.
Prepare conceptual estimates for structural steel design build/design assist projects.
Review specifications and scopes.
Prepare estimates in an accurate, timely and detailed manner thru all states of the projects.
Prepare accurate proposals in compliance with the bid documents.
Attend pre-bid and scope review meetings.
Perform post bid follow up and negotiations.
Co-ordinate and build relationships with general contractors, suppliers, etc.
Review subcontracts and coordinate contract drawing schedules and completion.
Procure project specific materials.
Review all drawings throughout project.
Obtain accurate field measurements.
Follow all company policies and procedures.

Degree with one-to-two-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
