The receptionist is one of the most important positions in the veterinary hospital because you are the voice and face of the hospital our clients meet first.
Responsibilities:
- Reliably report to assigned shifts - Cheerfully and promptly greet and check-in clients and their pets - Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar - Answer phone calls and address client concerns - Assist with medical record management and data entry - Collect payments for services rendered - Provide basic pet care, including feeding and walking animals - Handle animal restraint when necessary - Assist with laboratory procedures and sample collection - Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic is required - Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus - Ability to handle animals with care and compassion - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly, professionally and compassionately - Proficient in basic computer skills, including data entry and appointment scheduling, previous experience with Cornerstone Software a plus If you are passionate about providing exceptional care to animals and their owners, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
